What's one thing that's inspired me all year with my female characters? Retro pin- up models thanks to bookstore browsing. These are the first three I've completed!

So over the week I've been contemplating whether or not I should make more... Turns out I have ideas for four more! In due time, they'll be drawn, colored and posted. Making another book sounds like an idea, too. ;)

When in doubt, draw Video Games

I believe the title is self- explanatory. Plus while hurricane Sandy razored and uppercutted the city, I needed things to draw. Enter: these pieces!

Snivy riding Chibiterasu. This was inspired by the plushies I hide from my dog!

Dewott in a fighting stance. Same explanation as above.

 

Sonic the Hedgehog being "Disney- fied". He WAS inspired by Mickey Mouse after all!

 

 

Super Mario gliding around with his cape. I loved that power- up and... it should return. I'm okay with him dressing as a flying squirrel though!

 

 

 

Kratos teaming up with Sackboy.... Hilarity would ensue, I reckon!

"So The Horror!" The Collection

It's mid- October. Green leaves are becoming harvest- colored camoflauge, blazers and jackets are fully blooming from cramped closet spaces, and most of all... Halloween is near. Remember when I showcased a particular SolStars poster in the summer titled The Haunted Valentine? Well that was just the beginning of my Halloween based cartoons. Check these out for size:

Gasp! Life Drawings?!

Long story short, I actually still draw from life!

Well, I kind of had to force myself to begin doing this two weeks ago. Since I've applied for my master's, the stylistic, cartoony draw of my illustrations had to be pulled back for my portfolio in order for me to show that I can still use a number of heads on a human figure and draw them. Plus, I love animals.
